How To Store Lithium Batteries For A Long Time
- Jul 28, 2018 -

Lithium batteries have a relatively high self-discharge, which is related to the voltage (the amount of charge, that is, the saturation state of charge). They should be filled with a certain amount of electricity before stored for a long time. Remaining electricity and storage temperature will affect the capacity of lithium batteries.

It can be seen that higher storage temperatures result in larger self discharge. Therefore, it is not recommended lithium ion batteries be stored over a long period of time. If necessary, you are advised to store them at temperatures lower than 15 degrees when the battery power is about 40%.
